Ogun Digital Summit: Encouraging Youth to Leverage Technology for National Growth

The Director of Ogun Digital Summit, Sola Otesile, has urged the youth to cultivate a positive attitude towards the use of technology to enhance national growth and development. Otesile made this call during a press conference in Abeokuta, ahead of the 5th edition of the Ogun Digital Summit, scheduled to hold from October 29.

Innovation: Pathway to National Prosperity

This year's summit, themed "Innovation: Pathway To Our Nation's Prosperity", aims to encourage the youth to use technology to solve identified challenges in various sectors, including arts and culture. Otesile emphasized that technology is a double-edged sword that can either make or mar one's life, depending on how it is used.

Empowering Youth through Technology

The summit, organized in collaboration with the Ogun State government, will expose over 5,000 youths to cutting-edge technology and empower them to contribute meaningfully to the country's development. Otesile highlighted the importance of using technology to create solutions to socio-economic challenges, rather than engaging in cybercrime.

Start-up Exhibition and Innovation Showcase

The summit will also feature a start-up or innovation exhibition, where five brilliant innovations will be selected to meet with investors who will be ready to buy into their ideas. The four-day event will be declared open by Governor Dapo Abiodun and will feature prominent personalities, including Lateef Adedimeji, Kunle Afolayan, and Tunde Kelani.

Government Support for Digital Transformation

The Special Adviser to Governor Abiodun on ICT, Dayo Abiodun, expressed the government's support for efforts to deepen the culture of digital transformation among the youth. Abiodun urged the youths to take advantage of the training opportunity provided by the summit to build a better world for themselves and the nation.
